Park, Recreation and Tourism Studies Degree Programs

Undergraduate

The Park, Recreation and Tourism Studies (PRTS) Program is housed within the Human Movement Sciences Department, one of six departments in the Darden College of Education.  The PRTS Program is designed to prepare students with the skill, the knowledge, and the ability to pursue a professional career in the Managed Recreation Industry. The PRTS Program offers both a major and a minor in (1) tourism management (2) therapeutic recreation, and (3) park and recreation management. Each student major receives a management-based core curriculum complimented by their choice of a selected career emphasis area: (a) therapeutic recreation, (b) tourism management, and (c) park and recreation management.
