Message from the Dean
There could not be a more exciting time than now to be leading the Darden College of Education at Old Dominion University. I am humbled and delighted to have the opportunity to work with this distinguished group of faculty, staff and students. The Darden College of Education is committed to excellence in teaching, scholarly activities, and service. The college has and will continue to prepare outstanding professionals for work in the region, provide research which is needed for the advancement of education and the related professions at this critical time in the Commonwealth of Virginia, the nation and the world. Drawing upon its rich diversity of talented students and faculty, the college has established national and international prominence in the disciplines of the college through research and prepared outstanding educators, leaders and professionals.
Becoming a member of the Darden College of Education is an honor for students, faculty, staff, alumni and certainly for me. It is my goal to support every student in an exciting and challenging education designed to meet your professional and personal goals through key partnerships, top-notch faculty, and a commitment to engage you in service and leadership in your community, the nation and in the disciplines.
